Photographic competition 2024
Competition details
The Battery Point Community Association Photographic Competition for 2024 is now up and running.
The theme of this year’s competition is ‘Food for Thought’, so get your brain cells firing and your cameras clicking!
As always, judging is by people’s choice and the exhibition will be open for voting at the Community Hall on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 March from 10 am to 4 pm.
We encourage everyone to enter what has become a great event in the Battery Point calendar. We would also like to warmly invite young people to have a go, and there are special encouragement awards just for them. First, second and third prizes are provided for the winning entrants.
You are able to register and submit entries during the following times:
Thursday 7 March from 5 to 7 pm
Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 March from 12 to 2 pm
Tuesday 12 and Thursday 14 March from 5 to 6.30 pm **Additional dates not in poster
Registration is $5 per photo entered. Please provide an A4 copy of each photo, preferably on at least 80 gsm paper. You will also be given an upload link so you can provide the photos for inclusion in a story about the competition for the Association’s website.
Voting occurs during the exhibition. Entry into the exhibition is $3 for three votes. Bring the family and encourage your neighbours to come and pick their favourite photos. This is important so that everyone in the community and elsewhere in the world get to enjoy the photos. As always, you retain full copyright to your own photos.
The awards ceremony will take place in the Community Hall between 4 and 5 pm on Sunday 17 March. Refreshments are provided.
