For visitors

Whether you are interested in tours, food, the arts, adventure and eco-tourism, shopping or just relaxing, there is always something happening in and around Battery Point.

Battery Point is a short walk from the Hobart waterfront where you will find Salamanca Place, the ferry to MONA, amazing wilderness adventures and harbour cruises on a tall ship, interesting walks, bike rides and guided walking tours, world class events such as Dark Mofo and the Wooden Boats Festival, and the Taste of Tasmania.

In Bobby’s Footsteps will take you on a walk around Battery Point’s fascinating sites, characters and events.

We recommend the Tasmanian Travel & Information Centre and the Discover Tasmania websites.
