LAMP & e-Scooter Meeting Report

HCC Officers addressed a community meeting last Thursday. It would be fair to say that those in attendance were disappointed with the outcomes of both initiatives, which largely fail to take account of the recommendations of the Association.

The focus of the Local Area Mobility Plan (LAMP) will be the widening the Montpellier Retreat footpath. It is intended that the use and regulation of e-scooters in Battery Point will be improved by new technology. A letter drop will invite residents to nominate places for parking bays within the suburb.

A positive outcome of the meeting was the attendance by Council CEO Michael Stretton, who has agreed to meet with the Committee to continue discussions about these initiatives.
