Questions from the floor

The Committee has organised an information meeting to take place on Thursday 9 March from 5.30 – 6.30 in the Community Hall. Peter Pearce has kindly agreed to address the meeting and answer questions from community members.

The meeting will provide information to residents on the process and progress of the Government’s Statewide Planning Scheme as it relates to Battery Point. It is not a meeting to debate the content of the proposed changes.

The Association will conduct a second public meeting following the release by the Minister of the final State Planning Provisions. At this point, we will know how successful (or otherwise) we have been with our objections. This will be the appropriate time to discuss the detail of the planning changes and what further action might be taken.

Note: The Association has not been involved with the Government regarding Airbnb and knows no more than what has been published through the media. A policy statement has been released by the Government and copies will be available at the meeting.
