Book Fair hits the mark again!

The Book Fair for 2022 was a great success for the Association with close to $2000 raised from sales. Part of these funds will support the purchase and installation of a Street Book Library in Henslowe Park, which we hope the residents of Battery Point – young and old – and others visiting the park will enjoy and use.

We observed that the community found this project extremely useful, in clearing out books that they had read, or books that their children had read and that they no longer wanted to retain. We took in a large amount of excellent books, games, puzzles, DVDs, and CDs. On Saturday and Sunday we observed people having a great time searching through the boxes of books for bargains to take away to enjoy. Thanks to everyone who gave books and bought books.

A huge thank you goes to the organisers, Gay and Len Spaans and Pam Powell who spent many hours organising and managing all aspects of the Book Fair. Thanks also to Neil Cranston, Jenny Cranston, Charles Morgan and Nicky McKibben for their efforts in supporting the event over the weekend.
