Annick’s Antiques is a well known and much loved Battery Point business.
In July 1968, Barry Cox, a young Melbourne man was holidaying in Tasmania. While visiting Battery Point, he took photographs of some Battery Point landmarks, including Annick’s Antiques.
Fifty three years later Barry was sorting through his negatives and came across the photographs. With great kindness, he sent the images to Annick.
Memories like this form an essential thread in the Battery Point story. It is wonderful to see how our living village both continues to evolve and maintain a golden thread of continuity.
Thank you Barry for recording these memories and taking the time to bring them back to the community, and thank you to Annick for decades of support to Battery Point.
